The Place of Beginning

The sea is breaking at the shore, and the wind starts to howl
And just like the wolf he is, he searches for his prey
The streets are lively with its trade, and the people gather ‘round
As he stretches out his arm, he reaches for the sun
The shadow from the horizon; the unwelcome guests
As they approach the docks, his world begins to shake
Like a wolf who waits for its prey
Hunger starts to manifest into a blood lust that cannot be contained
When the time to take action is finally upon him
Wielding his sword in hand, he marches forward!
You have the nerve to come to this
place again?
This place is full of riches, and treasure for the taking
And now I’ve come to take back the taken
You are only one man compared to all us pirates
Like a wolf who feasts on its prey
One is simply not enough, one soon becomes ten and ten into one hundred
When they took my one beloved, that Hunger could not be contained,
but now to take back my last Treasure!

The Cage of Eternity

Broken and torn, a long and sleepless night
Waiting for the warmth from a slither of the light
Never waving, a stone-like existence
Wondering what will be on the other side of life
If you stop and stare for a while you’ll see that the light’s name is hope
As the nights pass, my world crumbles
Two glittering pearls, a flickering flame
Do I struggle or cry, or let out my voice?
But where will that voice reach to?
As I struggle and scrape at the resolve inside
The chains tighten around my neck
Oh, why does this world punish us?
The one that they took away
from within my warm embrace
Do you remember the days we
spent together long ago?
As the days pass, my world crumbles
Should I just lament in sorrow and pain?
Do I struggle or cry, or reach out my hand?
But where will that hand reach to?
It’s the loneliness that frightens me more than anything inside this gloomy cage
But when I met you for the first time we made a promise to break these chains
Oh why does this world punish us?

During my travels through the sea I noticed a golden lamp just floating towards me
Soon I came to notice what’s inside is more than just mere treasure!
I dried it clean from the dirty sea but out of nowhere it started to shine bright in my eyes
Smoke was pouring out from its spout and then out came a big surprise!
I’ll grant you a wish
It could be anything
It could be money, (or a boat?)
Or a boat!
Hold on…
These chains ‘round your neck…
do they hurt…are you in pain?
Don’t worry about me…for this pain, and these chains are endless…
You tread on the weak and just kick dirt in their face
By exploiting the kind, you’re just a lowly coward
I’ve chosen my sword to deliver cold death
What will you do now that you’re in the corner?
We are not all just weak and powerless slaves
By coming back here I’ll make you surely regret it
There’s no way you’ll win, so I’ll give you a choice
Will you face your own death or will you just run?
Why do people always have to close their eyes,
And run away from all their fears?
Couldn’t we all live in a much better world?
But nothing is ever that ideal…
People tread on the weak and don’t acknowledge their lives
By playing this game we cannot all be the winners
I’ve chosen my sword to see the liberation
Of the people who fall victim to this chaos
We are not all just weak and powerless slaves
If you give us a chance, we’ll simply rise above you
I’ve planted a seed to sow change in this world
Will it bear fruit or will it just rot?

The Wish

As we escape from the ship whilst we hold each others hands,
I promise never to let go of you again.
With these very hands I’ll tear the chains from your neck and protect you,
My darling, forever and ever
Can I rid this burden from you or will it just repeat forever more?
Can I be the one to grant the wish?
We’ve come so far for this to end
This life that we have built will sink into the sea and will vanish
The time that we spent together compared to the time I was locked away seems so momentary
Yet, the joy we felt together seemed so eternal but in the end was it all just for nothing?
Now I know that I have finally learned what it is like to love
Now it’s time to say goodbye
Now it’s time to say goodbye
Now it’s time to say goodbye
