lyrics

Where have they gone? Why have they gone?
I cannot see what was forgone
Wasting my time in this cramped place
Where have they gone? Am I all alone?
I watch as the time goes by, I see them slip away,
But we can’t see from the other side
I feel all alone

Why do you sit here in this lonely
bedroom?
And why don’t you see us when we
come and visit?
We used to be so close before,
and then you locked yourself away

I’m not lonely here
I’m trying to work and I’m trying to live
on these poems I once wrote for you
If that’s not enough then I can’t help you here!

And I can’t understand how we’ve gotten here
You wouldn’t listen to us
Now, I can see why you left this big hole in my chest
I want you to remember that I worked so hard
just for you…
Then why do you have to push me out?

I have tried so hard to make this work,
but there’s only so much that I can do
This sickness has made me feel this way
I just can’t express myself…
My life feels so meaningless

When we used to live together,
we would laugh until the sun set on us
Now that he has turned his back to me,
it feels like I’m losing him
to the moon

Why do you sit here in this lonely
bedroom?
And why don’t you see us
when we come and visit?
I’ve tried almost everything so why
don’t you just get up from your chair?
I’ve had enough of everything you
have put us through!

Don’t you understand?
You’ve always had to drag me down
when we were all alone
I couldn’t take it anymore…

Why don’t you listen? Why don’t you see?
Why must you argue with me? Why don’t you leave?
I can’t watch you do this
Just let me in
I’m sick of the sight of you now
Just go away!
